As a new member of Washington State Nurses Association, you are automatically a member of King County Nurses Association, a non-profit organization that provides continuing education, scholarships, and a forum for discussion of community health and professional issues.
Member benefits include:
• occasional mailings, including the quarterly newsletter, Advocate;
• the opportunity to participate on committees and special interest groups;
• attendance at KCNA events at the member rate;
• eligibility to apply for a KCNA Community Grant.
Annually, KCNA honors the nursing profession by presenting Shining Star awards to exemplary nurses (nomination deadline April 1) and scholarships to nursing students (application deadline March 1), including RNBs and graduate students.
