Donate Now: KCNA Scholarship Fund

When you donate to the King County Nurses Association Scholarship Fund, every penny of your donation goes directly to help deserving nursing students in King County!

In 2013, KCNA awarded 12 scholarships of $2,500 each. Since 1993, KCNA has awarded a total of $232,250 to 158 nursing students.

KCNA is also a member of the Washington State Combined Fund Drive. If you are a state employee, you can contribute:

2013 Scholarship Recipients

Recipients represented the following schools: University of Washington, Seattle University, Shoreline Community College, and Tacoma Community College.

About the Program

KCNA offers three types of scholarships to nursing students and RNs:

• Basic Scholarship for students pursuing initial licensure as registered nurses,

• RNB Scholarship for nurses returning to school to earn bachelor's degrees, and

• Valerie Weiss Memorial Scholarship for nurses returning to school to earn advanced degrees in nursing or related fields.

Scholarships are available to students who live or attend accredited schools in King County and are awarded based on academic performance, school involvement, community service and professional activities.

Making a Donation

KCNA gratefully accepts donations from individuals, as well as donations of items and services from area businesses (to benefit the annual scholarship auction). To make a donation, simply click on the yellow button below.
